:/ This is what I told my brother and yet he still insisted on getting one. iPod is a great concept and is aesthetically well-designed, but sadly they're pieces of shit.
Have validation: the Creative MuVo TX line does kick much quantity of ass, in a USB 2 flavor that both PC and Mac can enjoy. That said, I've had the same general bitched-up-edness with iTunes and QT. Conspiracy?
you probably just need to update the software. I have no proble with mine, and this is the first time I've heard anyone complain about them. however, there is a mac at school that does the same thing with mine, every other one works with out a problem, it's not the ipod, it's the computer. it does the exact same thing, charges, but doesn't load. try updating the software and if that still doesn't work, then call apple, they have good customer service and will figure it out.
I don't think there's anything to update. Belkin doesn't seem to ever udate their drivers. And I have the latest iTunes and iPod software.
I do realize that it's probably on the PC's end. But you'd think Apple wouldn't sell hardware that didn't work right. And from what I've read, Belkin Firewire cards do have issues and like to randomly not work with iPods.. yet.. Apple Stores sell them anyway. -_-
