i dont need people constantly analyzing me and telling me that im an insecure person..especially when I try to front like I'm not and fronting in my opinion is better than letting that fact rule my life...and i dont think it helps me fight my insecurities either. i can understand that sometimes u gotta be reminded like hey did u ever think that ( Read more... )

If we weren't insecure, we'd still be driving Pintos and think that putting fingers in electric sockets is a great idea. While we don't want to be pansies, we don't want to get hurt, either. Totally understandable. Sometimes "faking it" seems to be the best option--I've done it a million times. I recently completed this exercise that I thought was hokey but actually helped me--I wrote down and focused on past situations with guys (Cosmogirl...lol) and then wrote what I learned from them, and what jackassanine behavior to avoid in the future. (I plan to post some of these analyses later today because I really enjoyed writing them) I then realized that, duh, this principle can be applied to nearly every situation. Plus, I find handwriting can't be beaten and that it releases a lot of the tension. It's very confessional, so you've admitted your insecurity. That way, you can move on and find a new one :) Seriously, I have found that if you're NEVER uncomfortable, you aren't alive, but also, happiness is an ACTIVE pursuit. It ( ... )
