Something really amused me the other day. So, I went home over the weekend to visit my parents on the long weekend and because it was my mom's birthday. We were sitting in the living room talking one night, and I have no idea how it got onto this topic but the conversation turned to Sam's Club. I recently got a membership there and I was saying how ( Read more... )

I can relate to your basket story.
During college I was everywhere by bicycle and therefore couldn't buy so many groceries. I had one large dayback and if that was full I had to stop shopping.
And I hate shopping carts because they are bulky and unpractical.

And FB. I hated it even before this messenger app thingy. Worst page layout ever. Everytime I need to use it I'm asking myself why it has become so popular. There are so many other ways to 'talk' with people. :)

Thank you!! I'm glad to hear I'm not alone! lol shopping carts are SO impractical IMO. They just constantly get in the way, and the aisles are rarely large enough to make it convenient to have two different carts going different directions in the same aisle AND allow other traffic to pass. And they take up so much space in front of the shelves if you need to park it for a bit. It's just stupid. They should use the double baskets all the time.

I'm glad I'm not alone on FB too... luckily this guy was like "oh yeah text is better for all these reasons!" but at the same time I wanted to be like "....so why have you been using FB messenger to contact me then..?" lol

I totally get you on the cart vs basket thing - that's exactly how I shop! Only what I can fit in the basket so I don't overspend and can take everything from my car into my place in one trip. And people really DO suck at carts. The only time I ever get a cart is Costco, where aisles are wide and when I'm buying those huge packs of toilet paper or whatever, I just put up with it because I'm in and out in like five minutes.

Yaaaay you're like me on this too! I'm glad we have the same philosophy XD My parents were so funny about it, and it definitely made me laugh, but it's good to know I'm not alone. I've gotten really good at packing things in those tiny baskets. I can unload a partial cart's worth of items from one thing.

That's true with costco. Today I went to Sam's and once again didn't grab a cart and once again couldn't grab the extra couple of items I wanted, but at the same time that meant I could bring it into my apartment in one load and I only spent $30. So it's a give and take. But yeah the next time I buy the giant ass packages of toilet paper or wahtever I think I'm going to splurge on using a cart because cripes is it annoying not to in those places lol Athough this one bag I have is huge and works decently well but it's still awkward to unpack that and then pack it again where they have like no space on the Sam's checkout counter after you've paid.
