COURT AGAIN: RESOLUTION IN SIGHT??

Jun 23, 2006 20:39

Hi friends! It's been awhile since I've done a post for which I'm truly sorry. Though I haven't been active on-line please know that all of you LJ friends are ALWAYS on my mind and in my prayers and meditations every day! I mean that statement with all my heart! Not a day goes by that I don't think about each one of you individually and spend time ( Read more... )

Don't worry about getting back to us or reading our journals! We just want to see you healthy and an occasional post from you to that effect is more than enough! :) We like it this way. No stress on you. You promise now! :)

I'm so sorry about that heat. If you don't mind my asking, where do you live? I think it's CA like me, if I'm not mistaken. Wow, I can't IMAGINE living without a/c! Even with ours running nonstop, it still gets hot in here and makes me irritable! :( What about getting one of those cheap window a/c units? At least then you could just sit in the room that has it and be comfortable. There is no price that's worth cardiac arrest! I'd even be willing to donate some money so you could get one, as I'm sure others here would be too. Please let me know.

Glad to see you on! Take care and sending lots of (((HUGS))) your way! :)

I'd pitch in for an AC, too. I just this week bought *three* window units on sale. They're a lot cheaper than they used to be (the one in my home office was 22 or more years old), and more efficient. Target has some small-room-sized ones out here (New England) for $89.

I think the heat affects my diabetes (drives up my blood sugar), so I justified it as a "health expense." And my daughter is subject to heat exhaustio and asthma, and has allergies, so I got her a fancier model (one that will simply clean the air if there's no need for cool) for her room.

Also got us one for *our* bedroom, but we haven't installed it yet.

I'd be willing to pitch in a little something, too...

Could you perhaps ask your doctor to "prescribe" an air conditioner for you? Then you can ask your insurance to pay for it. I have a friend with multiple sclerosis, and she gets things that way all the time. If it's to help your overall health condition, I think a doctor can "prescribe" it - which means, he thinks it's enough of a health issue that it needs to get done, period.

It's worth a try...

I hope your van finally gets fixed, too. Y'all have been trying to get that corrected for a while now.

And you're right about it getting warmer. Global warming is to blame. Last year had the highest summer temperatures recorded to date!

Anyway- I wish you the best!

Funny, Drema, but I didn't "worry" about you with this time offline. When you were really sick that last time and I noticed you were gone, something wouldn't leave me alone about you. This time - you aren't having an "episode" - you're just trying to stay cool, so nothing raised any inner alarms for me...

I do hope you get that van finally fixed! I know this has been a real struggle, but from what I know of you, struggles don't keep you down!

Keep on pluggin' away... and smile!
