Tonight at youth group, (I'm a volunteer youth staff member at my church) the youth pastor continued his "Power of Sex" series, with a topic about girls. The focus was on what a girl wants in a relationship, but also how she looks for acceptance through how she dresses

I wish sometimes we could enable girls to glimpse, for just a moment, the way guys feel and what they are thinking when they look at them because of immodest dress. Unfortunately, they don't have that perspective... tonight at my nine-year-old brother's baseball game I watched three middle school girls flirt with the twelfth-grade guy behind the counter. He wasn't encouraging them in the least bit, but their demeanor continued regardless. What got me the most was the way they were dressed - disgustingly low-slung jeans, tight tops, wayyy too much makeup (more than I'll ever wear!), etc. And worst of all, at that age, I don't think they have a clue. I know I didn't. Of course, I wasn't allowed to wear makeup then, either... but, oh well.
