So i log in to livejournal (actually log in as opposed to go to my friends page and look at the random postings of my friend's lives...) and I see that it has been exactly 20 weeks since I last posted. NIkodaemos, Day 11
Well we had a doctors appointment yet again today... just another jaundice check up. He's fine, which makes the mommy happy :). He's at 8 lbs already... my chubby lil boy. He's a little piggy when it comes to food... Applied for his insurance last night, now we have to wait and see if it goes through... -
Nikodaemos, day 8
Well Niko's umbilical cord fell off last night, so he got his first bath this morning. Unfortunately, I'm a horrible mommy and forgot the camera, so no pics. Sorry. He wasn't so fond of the rinsing portion of the bath but was kinda content with the sitting in the water portion of it. All in all, it wasn't soo bad, but he wasn't enjoying the water ( Read more... ) -
Nikodaemos, Day 4
Yesterday we had to take the munckin to the doctors, because he's jaundiced. that means that some weird count of stuff that's in babies blood isn't getting filtered out fully. The count the day we left the hospital was a 15.3, that's not good, by the way. So we go to the doctor, and as anyone knows, infants lose weight in their first few days, well ( Read more... ) -

Well yesterday my son was 72 hours old, and my son proceeded to drive me completely insane. Starting at around 8:30 pm, he started screaming uncontrollably... for NO reason. He'd been fed (he actually should have fallen asleep since mommy's on happy pain meds), his diaper wasn't dirty... he'd been burped a few times. All of this failed. We even ( Read more... ) -
Niko and Mommy update
Niko's doing well, he's already trying to hold his head up... (eep!) and he's responsive with his facial expressions. Doesn't smile much... kinda like his dad in that regard :P. They pulled my IV out this morning, and i'm in a bit of pain, but the Tylenol 3's with codeine take care of it :). He's been eating really well though, and pooping lots... ( Read more... ) -

Baby Niko was born today (I got corrected on the spelling at like 5 am so it'll be right on the birth certificate) by C-section at 3:53 am. Both of us are doing just dandy. They removed my catheter (yay). Unfortunately he had to be a C-section, but hes doing well and is as happy as a bug in a rug. The pix:

Baby Update
Well, here's the deal. If he doesn't decide to cooperate this weekend, they're inducing Tuesday night. I will attempt to keep people updated as much as possible over the weekend and the like, based on what's going on with me.
