When stevemb & I got home after spending New Year's Eve with friends, we discovered that Satin (in icon) had had a stroke. She was unresponsive, with back arched and paws moving randomly ( Read more... )

Satin was loved. That's the best anyone can ever be; either 2 footed or 4 footed.

Oh, I'm so sorry. What an awful way to start the New Year. Such a lovely cat she was.
How are Vir and Heidi taking it?

They're clingy, but not terribly upset. We had them sniff her goodbye before we took her to the vet, & you could see the wheels turning in each of their heads.

OTOH, Satin had been losing weight & condition this last month, so I wasn't too surprised by what happened. I suspect they weren't either.
