i have been googling the hell out of those lift-the-acetate doodle pads. i really wanna find one again. i found a review for a book on amazon that has this discription: by the Editors of Klutz National Parenting Publications Award, Publisher's Weekly Bestseller, Parents' Choice Approved A hand-on book of travel games and activities, including a sliding block puzzle, pinball baseball game and lift-the-acetate Magic Writer. Thirty-three activities in all, good for thousand of all-quiet-on-the-backseat miles. Your very sanity may depend on it.

so when i search for "Magic Writer" all i get is the computer related Magic Writer hardware info.

I will find one. And when I do, I'll post its picture here and tell where to get one.
