So, since the vacation deadline came and passed when I was way too busy with other things to think about (such as worrying about my wife's bustipated arm and leg) I got randomly assigned vacation for the year

Get a blog! Heh. Really I'm not sure what's going on with lj for you, I get all my notifications all the time as far as I'm aware. Maybe it just hates you.

Staycations aren't bad. :) Lemme know how Dragon Age 2 is. I didn't play a lot of the demo but what little I did play, I didn't like the text, found it very hard to read. I DID, however, like that you select an option for the IDEA of what your character says, and then s/he says something related but not word for word. Granted, on my xbox at least, my character doesn't SAY anything... I'm generally enamored with speaking 'personas'... It seems very awkward to have a conversation where "I" am involved but not actually saying anything out loud. Am I telepathic? I pretend so sometimes. XD

I'm sorry to hear that LJ is giving you grief! I have heard some of the same complaints from other friends, but haven't been having any of those troubles myself.

The inconsistencies are mystifying to me.
