Well it seems the only time I can write journal entries is when I'm off work sick. (Just found a half finished draft from last time I was ill!) I have no voice! Whispered my way through Wednesday which was a nightmare so have been at home yesterday and today ( Read more... )

I think practice is the noun and practise the verb. You practise in a practice.

Aaaand... Googling seems to back me up there. "To spell the two words correctly, remember advice (noun) and advise (verb)." [Interesting that they have a phonological difference but practice/practise don't. What do you mean, "not interesting"?!]

Why in the hell do children in a nursery have parents days?!

SNAP!! Me too! Well I had a cold 2-3 weeks ago, early Jan, and I lost my voice for 3 days. I was whispering to everybody also! But even since then, my voice still isn't back to normal and it's really frustrating! It's ok to talk etc but sometimes it goes really weak, and seems a real effort to get a voice out. I read up on laryngitis on google, and they say that it can last a few weeks sometimes. I don't think they can really do much for it, just got to rest it as much as we can. Let me know if the doc comes up with anything useful!

I was wondering how your driving was going! Need to have a chat soon cos I miss yoooou! Maybe we should wait till we can both talk properly first though ;-) I might email you instead. Lots of love xxx

Hey nice to hear from you, though sorry its because you're ill! Glad your back is doing better though thats something. Osteopathy helped me loads with my back pain but that was more muscular than yours sounds.

Good luck with your driving test whenever it is! I'm glad you're doing ok with it, my parents were up the other week and we went to Paisley to look at cookers and it was a nightmare driving round it when we hadn't a clue where we were going!! I'm having a mock test soon so will see if I'm ready for mine yet!

Hope the parents evening goes ok and you feel better soon. xxx

Chiropractic is really great, isn't it?! I've been going for 5 years now and I swear it helped pull me out of a slump at the beginning of 2003 and I never looked back. Funny how they're all Aussies though, mine too!

Yeah apparently Australia are 50 years ahead of us with it! There's only one uni in Britain or something where you can study it. I think I might change my career - there's much more money in cracking people! ;)
