No idea what you're talking about, but it looks cool.
Also, this is probably old hat to you, but I read all of Death Note a while ago and was very impressed. I found out about it from TV Tropes, which got its start cataloging television tropes and idioms, but has since expanded to all forms of storytelling, including prose, graphic novels, manga, video games, and the like.
(Productivity Protip: don't click that last link if you plan on getting any work done over the next three or five days. You may consider taking up a less time-consuming habit, like crack. On the other hand, professional writers may be able to wrangle a tax write-off from it, so what do I know?)
Hmm. I'm only about 5% teenage. 10% girl, 15% secret, 0% mormon, and x% agenda (it wouldn't be a secret agenda if I gave a number, wouldn't it?). I'm not certain where that makes me come out.
Death Note is one of the best manga I've ever had the misfortune to come across. Premise is as follows: Light Yagami is a brilliant, bored high school student. He comes across a notebook with the words "Death Note" written on its cover. By experimenting with it, he learns that by writing anyone's name in the notebook, it is sure that the person whose name is so inscribed will die within the next minute. (a note on the title for those who do not understand the Japanese idiom: "note" is what the Japanese call "notebooks," and the Japanese language makes no morphological distinction between the singular and plural. (B.: I shall be most indebted to you if you should kindly correct the inevitable errors that I have made in this missive.)) Light decides to use the Death Note to punish criminals, and at the same time, the Japanese National Police
( ... )
it's the books that have a secret mormon agenda, not the teenage girls. The author is very good with the tease, she managed to drag me throught three 700 page books on kissing alone. The protagonist has sex in the fourth book, but ONLY AFTER SHE GETS MARRIED. TO A VAMPIRE!
Death Note sounds interesting, but I HATE manga in translation...maybe something to look for next time I'm at Kinokuniya.
You know if I would have read that whole Twilight series in manga form I think it would have made more sense to me. If it was HUGE in Japan and not the US, again that would make sense to me. So I guess the fact there is a manga now makes perfect sense.
We need to veg out and watch Kimi wa petto sometime soon!!

Yeah, it's so much more forgivable for a manga plot! Probably because the characters act stupid in the same ways manga characters do.
I forgot you have kimipe! and I still need to watch the fall, but I will soon....I just want to be able to devote my attention to it and I've been spazzy lately.
I went into a manga store today and asked about it. But the guy looked it up on his computer and claimed that it was just a novel. Huh?? I should have gotten the author name before i went. I'll try again or just go with amazon and see what happens.

Granted, this was begging to be made in to wacky shoujo manga from the get-go.
