meet kozmo, aka cozumel. he's staying with us until we leave for cozumel on 4/24, so he is now known as cozumel.

Poor Kozmo (Cozumel)... I was going to ask if that's what it was.

Why so many Danes? DId y'all bust a hoarder recently or something?

nope, all 60+ have come seperately. we only pull from kill shelters, we dont do owner surrenders. there are just that many people who have dumped their danes at shelters this spring. last week we had to turn dogs down for the first time ever. we we had turned NINE down on wednesday. i don't know the count for the whole week. it is REDICULOUS! we're desperate for foster/adoptive homes.

Wow... do you think Danes are getting more popular? I don't see many in Madison, but it seems like there's been an upswing in the past few years.

Poor puppies. I'll take one :c) Just send it to me FedEx, I'll squeeze it in my teeny apartment and we'll be good to go.

:( I wish I could help, but I'm in Australia. Otherwise I'd have an acreage full of Danes. Actually, your merle looks a lot like ours :D
