Ryan and I would like to come up to Melbourne this weekend (Dina's also hitching a lift with us). It feels like the right thing to do, to say goodbye to Aveline, celebrate her life and what she has brought to our community, and support our friends. That would be fabulous. We'll be arriving on Friday night (not sure what time yet, we'll probably be convoying with Mikey and Liz). We'll have Dina with us, so I'm hoping for find somewhere nearby where she can stay - does Merrinan live anywhere near you?

Thanks for that. Right now I'm thinking of going with teknohippi (since I got her response first), but I may need to find space for Dina - who I assume isn't allergic to cats. Would that be ok? (and are you anywhere near teknohippi?)

That would be okay. I'm afraid I'm not anywhere near teknohippi, I'm in East Oakleigh. I'm fairly close to PT, though, and it's about 30mins from Melbourne CBD by train.

Ah, in that case, I might try and find somewhere a little closer, so that I'm not spending all my time driving around Melbourne (or with my map reading skills, getting lost in Melbourne). Thanks for the offer though and I guess that I'll see you on the weekend.
