I don’t usually post too often, but I thought that it was worth mentioning this one as it isn’t often that your cat attempts to kill you. Many of you would remember the time that Cheetah scarred my face by waiting until I was asleep on the couch and then sprinting over me and using my jaw as a launchpad, by digging her back claw into and ripping ( Read more... )

I have a scar on my wrist from where fatbum tried to rip my arm open. I've had it for about 11 years, now. If it had been a centimetre further over, he would have opened the vein.

... remind me to show you the gouge that D took out of my eye socket one morning.
That was one of the more painful experiences in my life...
The scar has vanished, but you can still feel the damage to the bone.

I dont' know who was more upset...
Me: being woken up at 3am with a very confused pussycat falling on my head. then realising the the pain in my face was real, and here to stay.
D: having startled human throw one across the room on top of having falling off the tall boy in a very undignified manner.
Jason: being woken up by a sobbing girlie with blood covering her hands, face, sheets, pillow, pjs... (headwounds are good for that, aren't they)

You got me wondering so I checked. Because I don't have many eye-wrinkles I wondered if there was a scar from when our 'Horse' look-a-like almost took out my eye when I was a kid but I can't tell if it is a very faint wrinkle or a very faded scar.

He was a very big tabby that rarely played with us kids so didn't really know about the no-claws rule. You also had to be very careful going to the fridge because he could morph himself small enough to get under it and still have very long forelegs for the purpose of amputating toes if they got close enough. Fortuately, us kids were to short to be at risk from scalping when going outside to the outhouse. He used to sit on the pergola and take toll in the form of scalp from the adults though.
