I'm disappointed in myself for not immediately recognizing what "CGC" was, but once I realized what was going on there I recognized the stroke of pure nerd genius. And as I said to a friend on Facebook, I feel sorry for the like one person in the world who watched the show for the first time last night.

Completely. I loved every bit of the premiere, those guys are so far entrenched in 80's nerd humor it makes me happy. It helps that Jackson Publick is a surprisingly nice guy.

also yes, they've done an incredible job of creating a GOOD lore of the show. It's almost kind of unfortunate because it's at this point near impossible to get new converts to the show without starting them at the last episode of season 1.
