I grew tired of that song very quick. The album it's from, Automatic for the People, is one of those discs I just completely LOVED but that song always pissed me off. There are way better slow songs on the same disc ("Nightswimming", so gorgeous, and "Find the River"). "Everybody Hurts" makes me want to hurt people. :/

I agree with radio stations playing only a portion of bands and not digging deep enough. The Doors - some amazing songs that never get played because they just play there 3 or 4 most popular ones.

I agree that, compared to "Nightswimming" and "Find the River," "Everybody Hurts" is a lesser song, but I would have loved to have heard someone like Otis Redding or Solomon Burke tackle "Everybody Hurts."
