Love this. I make random mixes for a best friend of mine. We originally started years ago with a USB drive in the shape of a cassette tape, but that was a pain in the ass (both in expense of buying music but then shipping it back and forth).
When COVID hit, I brought the idea back via a shared Spotify mix. Had a load of fun with that for a year (rules: add no more than three songs at a time and you MUST wait your turn) but it eventually became a chore and I killed the whole thing.
That said, we do have one of those Spotify mixes where it matches what you’re both listening to, which has been a trip! Also, really wrong at times (it’s ID’ed me as the listener of a song I’ve never heard), but also fun to see when we’re both endlessly repeating the same songs w/o realizing it!
