"I wonder where authors get ideas for things I can never get ideas." Omigod, i know how you feel! I can never seem to grasp any good dieas when im writng. gah. its so annoying.
I have the opposite problem. I'm bombarded by ideas, but never seem to find the time to write.
Make it your mission to find one thing to write about every day. Write about the chair in front of you, a particularly fetching patch of grass, the life of a bottle of hand sanitizer... anything will do.
I once wrote a story about sanitizer. I also wrote one of my College Writing essays on a swingset at the park. Find something quirky and expand upon it. After you struggle through the first paragraph or so, the story just takes over.
