HELP!

I have a question for any of you that are from the Orlando area!
I think I may be going to Rollins for Grad school. Some friends seem to think Winter Park is skeezy, so any help as to which parts of Orlando are good to live in and which parts I should avoid would be very helpful ( Read more... )

Like the person above said, Winter Park is really nice. I'd avoid Semoran/436 though. I saw some cute housing east of Colonial...near Mcguire.

First off, YAY for coming to Orlando! :)

Like the person above me said, the Rollins area is actually pretty expensive, and you probably don't want to live in what's called "Winter Park" because it does get iffy the further from Rollins that you get.

My suggestion is to look for a place that's closer to the UCF area. There are TONS of apartment complexes and stuff there, and it's only about a 20 minute drive from Rollins.

Another option is the Casselberry area.. one of my friends lives in a nice complex out that way. Again, about 15-20 minutes north of Rollins.

I LOVE that you are going to move to Florida!!!!! I'm attempting to convince my friend to move there in November. So far the convincing has gone well ... we could be neighbors!

My (other) friend used to live down there ... then moved up here for family reasons (actually shes the other one thats always at the Fristman/Lucca stuff), and she is moving back in the fall. She used to live down in Kissimmee though ... Thats not close to Rollins if I remember correctly.

Good luck with the apartment search.
