1. What kind of soap is in your bathtub right now?
An ivory-like facebar from Maison Dupuy (hotel in N.O. from our honeymoon)
2. Do you have any watermelon in your refrigerator?
No
3. Is there anything moldy in your refrigerator?
I don't think so, I cleaned it out pretty recently. I don't think those two mangoes are doing too well, though.
4. Are there any dirty dishes in your sink?
Just dinner dishes, we made Chicken Tikka Masala.
5. What would you change about your living room?
Paint the large wall dark red, put up curtains, frame/hang LOTS of photos!
6. Are the dishes in your dishwasher clean or dirty?
No dishes in the dishwasher, we don't use it much.
7. Do you have a can of mushrooms in your pantry?
No, I don't like those little squishy canned mushrooms
8. White or wheat bread?
Wheat, always whole wheat (not just "sandwich wheat", whose first ingredient is enriched flour. I only buy bread whose first ingredient is "whole wheat flour"
9. What is on top of your refrigerator?
small jam-box, glass carafe, lots of other stuff that I can't think of right now. Whatever wouldn't fit in the cabinets.
10. What color is your sofa?
brownish corduroy
11. What color or design is on your shower curtain?
No shower curtain, we have awful 80s-era glass doors, which WILL be ripped out on a DIY project one day pretty soon. HATE HATE HATE. :-)
12. How many plants are in your home?
Just the multi-plant plant that I brought home from Ohio yesterday (from Grandpa's funeral)
13. How many candles are in your home?
Not counting tealights, I could probably find half dozen. I have HUGE bags of tealights, though. Most of them leftover from our wedding.
14. Is your bed made right now?
Nope, it hardly ever is. Once we decorate the bedroom, though, it's much more likely that it will stay made. Right now, it's just eh... why bother.
15. If you have a coffee pot, what color is it?
Stainless w/ a glowing green clock.
16. Electric or standard can opener?
I have an electric "outside rim" can opener, and several standards ones in the drawer (for camping and such)
17. Theme in your living room?
Cluttered with a dash of baby toys. And though HGTV forbids it, the bigscreen TV *is* the focal point of the room!
18. Colors in the bedroom?
beige, beige, and more beige. It's rather drab. Unfortunately, it'll probably be the LAST room we decorate (just like in all those decorating TV shows) because it's the least seen by guests.
19. Comet or Soft Scrub?
Comet. Can't mess with the classics.
20. Is your closet organized?
Not too bad. My clothes are on one side, Joe's on the other. Mine are separated w/ tops on the top, and bottoms on the bottom, and long stuff at the back beside Joe's. I haven't yet separated the tops into "types" and sub-categories yet, but I'm sure someday the OCD will kick in, and I won't be able to sleep until I do that. Joe's stuff is all smashed together, tops, bottoms, everything. I'm trying to not let that bother me. Really. *twitch*
21. What color is the flashlight that you use the most?
The one on the coffee table is yellow & black. Don't have to use it much, though.
22. What kinds of things are in your junk drawer?
Don't have one right now, it was all dumped into a mop-bucket at the old apartment, and said mop-bucket hasn't been emptied yet. I haven't decided if I want to take up valuable drawer space with junk, or find a place for all of it out in the garage. What's in the bucket, though... nails, tacks, bolts - mostly stuff left over from Assemble-it-yourself furniture.
23. Do you drink out of glass or plastic most of the time at home?
Depends on my mood. Last few times has been my heavy glass Ikea glasses.
24. Do you have iced tea made in a pitcher right now?
No. I think the last time I made iced tea was MONTHS ago. It was mango tea.
25. If you have a garage, is it cluttered?
Heck yes. That's where everything went during the move. It's making its way into the house, a little at a time.

Bamboo Roman shades, with curtains to follow, when I make them.

There's a nightlight air-freshener thingee in the bathroom. Also the light over the stove is on "nightlight" mode

Only a couple times since we moved. Will probably be doing it again tomorrow, as the baby is crawling all over now.

One of those cheapo Crest electrics

No, we're trying to find JUST the right one for our new home.
34. What is in your oven right now?
Racks and an annoying drip from when I was making scrambled eggs, and they somehow managed to splurt out of the pan and go BETWEEN THE GLASS on the oven door. Driving me CRAZY. I'm going to have to take the oven door apart to get at it!
35. Is your microwave clean or dirty?
I think someone cooked marinara w/o a cover, it's splooshed w/ red sauce. It's going to bug me until I clean it, but it's gonna be a bitch to clean.
36. Is there anything under your bed?
Not that I know of. Maybe a cat.

Cleaning Troy's bathroom.

Not counting faire/Dickens stuff, the 1920 Singer treadle sewing machine that belonged to my Great-Grandmother

Yes, I'm in it right now. The other half of it is the dining room, but it's big enough to have a feeling of separate-ness.

Troy (we have an electric mower!)

I have an "emergency" partial roll of quarters in my car. (For "emergency" chocolate from the vending machine at work, and car washes)

Beige through most of the house. Kitchen is UGLY sponge-painted blue check. Troy's room is hideous yellow. Once the powder room is done, the rest of those hideous colors are soon to follow...
46. Do you have a peephole in your front door?
No, but it has small arch-shaped windows.
47. Do you keep any kind of protection weapons in your home?
No
48. What does your home smell like right now?
Faint hint of curry, from the Chicken Tikka Masala from last night

"Sunwashed Linen" or "Clean Cotton" (both Yankee scents)

Just hotdog relish

Troy and Alex so far, but I don't have nearly all of the available photos framed/hung yet!

uhhh... I have a purple one I used in College. I know it's here somewhere...

I think I have enough, but can you ever really have "plenty"? I wish I had more drawers, though.

Cozy/Practical/Baby-proof. Is that a decorating style?

Solid or subtle prints, always with a nice texture. I love texture.

3 of 'em, by the bedrooms and one by the garage entry
61. In case of fire, what are the items you would grab if you only could make one quick trip?
Photos from when Troy was a baby (film prints & negatives). Both computers, for the digital pictures of everyone else.

My dad is a Master Electrician. So yeah. :-)
63. What temperature in your home is most comfortable to you?
About 75 in the summer, 60 or 65 in the winter (though Joe gets chilly)
