First of all, I really need more Twilight icons but I can't get or make more because I don't want to use up all of my userpic space and I'm not paying to upgrade. :P

Secondly, and more importantly, I went to see Twilight tonight so here are some of my initial thoughts...

You know, sometimes I actually go into a movie theatre more excited for the trailers I'm expecting to see than the actual movie itself. And then I get disappointed when I don't see it.

I've been hoping to see the Harry Potter and Star Trek trailer in the movies (I don't care what people say, trailers are so much more awesome on the movie screen and get you THAT MUCH MORE EXCITED) and it sucks that they aren't always showing them cause we fans have seriously been jipped, what with the change in dates and all. blahhhh

I know what you mean, sometimes it is more exciting to expect a certain trailer than the movie you're going to see. And they are so much better to watch on the big screen. No matter what the movie is, it usually makes it seem so much more exciting and grandiose in a good way. It makes me upset because I can't even tell you how many times my theater showed the trailer for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, which I didn't really have an interest in in the first place, and then they can't even show a trailer that so many fans are really excited to see. I also would love to see the Star Trek trailer in a theater. I watched it online and I just kept thinking how amazing that must look on the movie screen. The movie industry just seems like it's always finding more ways to rip us off, sigh.

I can understand what you mean about the characters being questionable but I think I enjoyed them so much because I wasn't convinced of them beforehand. I was confident in Rob and Kristen but seeing all the extra cast... well, they weren't the same to me as MY characters from reading so I was wary. I guess that's why they pleasantly surprised me. When I watched the actors, I saw them being very close to my own ideas of each character and I ended up really admiring them all. Actually, I ended up enjoying everyone else even more than Rob and Kristen. Maybe that's just me though, I always tend to enjoy the "sidekicks" more than the "heroes" of stories lol ( ... )
