You shouldn't take it as your responsibility to live up to everyone's expectations. Especially the unreasonable ones your father seems to always put on you. I know that's a lot easier said than done, but it's not fair to yourself to take all of that on your shoulders.

If I'm aware there's a burden to be carried I do not think I can, in good conscience, turn away.

I know. That's one of the things that's very admirable about you. I just worry that in doing that, you're not doing what is best for yourself.

Yeah, but the Gorecki is pretty awesome! That has to help some right? I'm never any good at advice, for myself or others, no matter how I sympathize; but Gorecki, he gives good advice. You'll be allright, my dear. When things get really bad, listen to his 3rd symphony; and when you need hope, listen to the Vasks. When you need to relax or pray, the Biber; when triumph is in order, the Elgar. For envigoration, the Borodin; for reverence, the Rachmaninov or the Anonymous 4. The Part will give you power, a deep and humble sort of power. And the Cibelle is just for fun. You see, just follow a good musical medicine regiment and you'll be fine--at least, that's the only way I ever get through anything, so it's the closest I can get to advice or comfort.

Thank you so much. I'm listening to Rachmaninov now, and I enjoyed Vasks most of the way to Dallas from Austin (stupid bloody traffic; took me FOUR HOURS to get here). Borodin is for the trip to Ft. Worth tomorrow. Huzzah for classical music! This is some really great stuff. Thanks.

PS- You forgot your shirt again.
