... is back! Thank goodness for blogs with recaps and video links! I get to skip all the bad auditions, commercials, fluff, and often times, even the judges' comments. When I'm really in a rush, I skip through the packages and just watch the performances.

I'm glad that the show seems to be showing more of the good contestants this year. As of now ( Read more... )

I know, right? And it gets worse when you factor in the fact that I follow Canadian Idol and Australian Idol when they're airing and, sometimes, The X-Factor. (I don't care much for the _____ Got Talent shows, though.)

I really could not care less about the Idol machine-I hate how manufactured the show has become-but I just love watching people sing. And that's the main reason I keep watching the show. I'm just obsessed with singing. I never plop down and watch in front of the TV anymore, though, and I don't vote either. The performances are the primary draw. Sometimes, I think I ought to stop, but I can't help it. Maybe, when the show ends... ;)

Anyone stand out to you yet? ;) For me, not so much. I'm just sitting back and seeing what happens. =) Funny enough, a lot of times, the contestants I end up really liking don't impress me so much at the audition stage. Only later in the competition do they really start to shine.

I love Paula, but surprisingly, I didn't notice her absence as much as I thought I would. I thought Victoria Beckham was an odd choice for a guest judge, but I appreciated how coherent she was. I guess only time will tell with Ellen-although I love her as a television personality. She's hilarious! =D
