I totally know what you mean, last year as an end of the year conlusion project to tie into reading 'Oediups the King', we basically made a scrapbook of 10 memorable events/people and even though it's so much work i really want another project like that just to force me to see where i stand with priorities and just my life. & today i went to my catechist mtg since i signed up for that time and they mentioned using journals with the kids & all that crossed my mind is that i really would want to join them and do the same. haha that was really random, but yeah i completely <3 reflecting.
p.s. apply for JLR, seriously..if you don't im going to have to make you apply against your own willl :-P okay, maybe not but..there's absolutely nothinggggg to lose<3
I definitely agree with the "own world" theory... but I mean, we can only view the world from a larger perspective through the context of our own lives. it's not necessarily a bad thing.
dee, will you PLEASE do hauppauge a favor and apply for JLR?? if not applying for the sake of becoming a youth leader, you need to have that experience. there is nothing else like it in the world, and it opened my eyes up to so much, gave me hope for humanity, and fills me with love and hope everytime I reflect on it.
besides that incentive, you are an incredible leader. you're not outwardly a leader, the type most people visualize when they hear the word "leader", but you lead by example. by your ideas. by your personality, witty comments, and obvious faith in Christ. to be honest, JLR doesn't teach you very many leadership skills. it just opens your eyes, ears, heart, and spirit to God. and I am one hundred percent sure that He will shine through you if you go to JLR.
You knows what's sad I don;t understand how you guys actaully enjoy high school! lol, that's just me. I mean of course I'm glad I went but they teach so much bull shit you will never, ever use I was so fed up by junior year with it. For instance they don't teach you about modern politics, nor do they teach you about modern technologies, and a ton of other stuff. At least that's how my High school as. I actaully admire you guys for liking going there and shit
( ... )
you're a lot more intelligent than most people give you credit for. i miss you a whole lot. thanks for the respect for liking hs, i guess? lol. your comments mean a lot to me.
i love mrs. Ryans class. it makes you think, a lot. and i dont think she asked us if we thought most people lived in their own worlds but i agree. people only see one world, and thats theres. i dont know if that made sense. i dont know what to say about JLR. I know I'm applying. everyone says its fun and even if they dont straight out say it; i think you can tell. if you dont at least apply youll never know if you could get to go. your so lucky you know what you want to do with your life. i have no idea. haha. mrs ryans classes are making me think too much. ♥ :)
pssst. hi, it's your best friend. yeah- the one that has been telling you i love you for nearly 2 years. + i've also been telling you the same thing that nicole just said. you have so much to learn, teach, + to offer. you're an amazing individual. insightful, intelligent, creative, and beautiful in more than just one way. think about all you have to offer before applying or not applying to JLR. think about it objectively. + then decide.
