o1. Ah! I have been horrible at LJ this past week! I apologize. My excuse is that I worked a bit longer hours (which is good for money) and....ok TBH, it's 97% this guy's fault:
2. Oh, that sucks about your brother. I feel like holidays are one thing my sister and I do at least get right. We're crappy daughters in other ways, but we show up for those!
I'm pretty sure Eric is my favorite vampire. I mean, I'm not that much of a Spike person and certainly it's not going to be EDWARD. Angel's good and all, but ERIC. MMMM.
AWESOME PICSPAM. Yes, you must do many more!
I love Bill's "WTF?" face and Eric's smirk in the last cap. ha!
Hahah, yes. Bill's all "Huh?" And Eric's just like, "Yeah, that's right."
Ok first of all, how childish are these book covers?!
Have you seen the cover of the last one in person? It's SPARKLY! I LOVE IT.
I'm guessing Sookie was thinking of the latter which is why she uninvited both Bill and Eric from her house at the end. I was pretty proud of her there. YES. I think that's one of the (many) Sookie > Bella moments. We get to see Sookie taking control of her life! Bella was always way too "But why is this perfect, amazing, handsome vampire in love with little old me?" to do
( ... )
Yeah, I think that really IS irresponsible marketing. I mean, as far as romance books go, they're not that dirty, but FOR THE TWILIGHT CROWD??? NO. I would've been SO traumatized!
Haha, you're right about Sookie and the guys! Bill was the first guy she ever slept with, and now they're ALL hot to her! Especially Eric. ;)
Yeah, of course the fandom has been longing for book 4 on the TV show, but, really, it would be hard to do an entire season of Eric not knowing who he was if he acted like he did in the book. I do hope they're able to translate it somehow, though.
And you still have lots of awesome Eric/Sookie ahead of you!
I feel like the little sex there is in the book seems weird to me because I never read romance novels. So the only sex I really read is in fanfic, lol.
I do wonder how they're going to translate the later books into the show since there's just so many of them. I mean, there's not going to be 10 seasons of True Blood! They'll probably be 5 or 6 if the ratings are good (judging by how long other successful HBO shows have lasted). They're going to have to start being picky about what they put in there.
BITCH, IT'S ERIC NORTHMAN. Lol, sorry this is pretty much my reaction to Eric all the time these days. He's such a BAMF and I love how the show is going there because there's never this vicious and brutal side that's so Eric but Sookie doesn't really think about in the books.
how perplexing it is that such a crappy series can contain such an incredibly awesome character. Yes to this. I don't think the series is that bad but Eric is such a compelling character that probably has a lot of interesting (I actually wanna say something about some stuff about Eric himself here but you haven't gotten to the latest book yet so I'll hold off) things, even sometimes more than the books themselves
( ... )
It's true, I feel like one of the things that I love about the show is that it's not from Sookie's POV. Eric probably did have people chained up in the basement for all Sookie knew, lol
( ... )
Because I would almost forgive all the love interests if this was part of the reasoning behind it. Yes, that's part of the reason why supes like her so much.
Oh okay. I see what you're saying. I love douchey Ted too! Book 4!Eric is actually a really similar character to TVshow!Bill. Really? I've never thought of it this way. Hmm, I can see similarities now. Yes! I'm sad that so much of Eric's personality had to be gone for Eric/Sookie to happen in that way. But I hoped it would be turned more into a catalyst for their relationship.
Sam is such a sweetheart! Like I said, I love those unrequited love - friend relationships so I ship Sam/Sookie a little bit. For Sookie's ever changing love life, I'm always rooting for Sam or Eric.
I agree with all those opinions except maybe 3. I still maintained my love for Cass even if she was a little annoying. Also, I feel you on 4. I love love Chris and Jal is a great character. I was glad to see them happy and together but I didn't have half as much love as fandom does for them.
I ship Sam/Sookie a little bit too! He's just such a nice guy that seems to really care about her. I don't know if I really "feel" it enough to want them to actually end up together or anything but i definitely don't mind Sam/Sookie subplots. I always miss Sam when he's not around.
Cassie is still my favorite characters by far out of the original cast despite how slightly annoying I found her at times, haha!
The books may be trashy but they're quick easy reads. I did manage to read 4 in 1 week while still working/going to the movies/going out to dinner, haha. I feel like I enjoy the show more now that I've read them since I have better idea of where the show is going with things. It's a lot of fun to pick up on little things here and there and realize what they are.
Just look at my icon! He's in the center because he PWNS THEM ALL!
Aw, sad! I actually have lots of love for Anna Paquin because I remember being so ~inspired~ by her Oscar win when I was a little. Acting was my hobby of choice and I've always been obsessed with films so to see someone who was only 2 years older than me win an actual Oscar when I was like 9 years old was perhaps one of my favorite Award Show moments ever. I remember going to see movies just because she was in them back in the day.
I want to love her. I used to love her, for essentially this reason.. but she has irritated me beyond belief in the last several years. It makes me a sad panda.

LMFAO. So true.
I can't watch True Blood because Anna Paquin annoys me more than I can begin to explain.
