I have no idea! ASkars needs to have his own show. And then I guess there's another Sookie book coming out in the Spring...which should at least have some good Eric visual imagery. ha.
D: I DIDN'T WANT THIS TO END. jsyk I scrolled through this post REALLY SLOWLY so that it'd take me longer to get to the end. Oh, Eric. Oh, you. I'm looking forward to your s1 Eric spam - s1 Eric will definitely be more interesting to read about with all that we know about him now.
Eric's expression when Sophie-Anne mentioned Godric (and somewhat flippantly I might add - shouldn't a vampire of her age understand the importance of a maker to its makee~) just killed me. It really is an insult to his character that they haven't gone more in depth with that storyline, and instead, like you said, wasted plenty of screentime establishing that Bon Temps was in trouble and that the town was under Maryann's control. I hope that Ball's reasoning for keeping Eric out of the spotlight the past few episodes is completely justified next season. Completely.
AND GUESS WHAT? IT IS NOT BECAUSE HE'S DANGEROUS! I feel a wee bit insulted by that insinuation actually.I was so beyond insulted that he said that. It makes me more than a little nervous that

lol that's awesome. Yea, I'm excited for the s1 thing because I've really only watched the season 1 eps like one time and I watched it marathon-style so I didn't really spend any time thinking about them
( ... )
The show has portrayed Eric as very rational and fair (and he learned that from Godric). Bill on the other hand would kill anyone who looks at Sookie funny.
THIS. I've been saying it since season 1.
Not to say that I can't understand Bill's actions most of the time, because I can, but it's not fair to say that Eric's motivations are not equally, or even more, complex.
We already talked about a lot of this, but, whatever, I need a distraction from a frustrating Bones ep. (LOL, though I guess this show has it's frustrating elements, too!)
Alan Ball claims that there was a plot-related reason why Eric had very little screen time in the last three episodes. Well, honestly, IDAF
And I don't think that's okay when we're not going to find out UNTIL NEXT SUMMER. It's one thing if we found out in the finale that there was some really awesome reason for Eric's lack of screen time. But how are we supposed to be content with that kind of vague answer?
Unless Eric is there in pink spandex. If that is the case then all bets are off.
YOU KNOW. They really did miss so many opportunities with that. First of, the internet might've literally exploded if they put ASkars in spandex! Secondly, if Eric had been the one to save them all? What would've that done to Bill? To Sookie? Even to Sam? Having Bill and Sam be the heroes is just boring compared to that.
Do you think that maybe her blood is so powerful she is
( ... )
But how are we supposed to be content with that kind of vague answer? Exactly. And sadly, I think the problem is that there isn't really an answer. I'm sure that Eric was probably involved in whatever the Queen was doing with the blood somehow. I heard that the King of Mississippi will also be involved with whatever that is too so it's bound to be something huge that all the most powerful vamps are involved in.
BUT STILL, if we can have all these completely useless scenes of people just being ridiculous that have me looking at the clock and thinking "Why is this necessary?" then there could have been a way to deal with more aftermath to the Dallas storyline. I mean, the reason why there was no after-math in the book was because Eric didn't have any direct involvement with it, nor did anyone else. Although they did deal with the after-math of Sookie having Eric's blood and learning to trust him more. LOL IN FACT, ERIC IS THE ONLY REASON THE MARYANNE STORYLINE WAS EVEN INTERESTING IN THE BOOKS!

You know, I really did think we'd at least get some of that this season. Eric/Sookie didn't even interact (except in the dreams) after Godric! Even taking any shippiness out of the equation, I feel like that's SUCH a bad decision! Like let's say Eric actually IS the dangerous guy Ball's comments implied. Let's deal with that. What would it mean that Sookie's had his blood?
I think that is the problem if you want to follow the plot and try and make Bill/Sookie actually work. Their relationship is barely ever progressed beyond the first book (except for negatively in 3 and 6).Okay, seriously, what DOES Alan Ball see in Bill/Sookie??? Like, I guess I was biased even in the early books, having heard about how awesome Eric/Sookie are, but I just don't think I'd have ever fallen for them. They probably wouldn't been on of those bland, "okay, they're nice enough" couples for me. I guess I'm just not seeing the epic love story he is
( ... )
Exactly. I mean, that plot point that was a pretty HUGE thing in terms of her relationship with Bill even, and it was virtually ignored beyond her one conversation with Lafayette. And even then she didn't really talk about how she was feeling about any of it, she was just like "oh you too
( ... )
aww poor ontd lol i concur with everything you said. and i thank you for the many laughs and pretty picspams, i really enjoyed them. looking forward to the first season picspam. you are right about bill they really need to make him more likable. i was expecting this from jessica sadly. bill is never there to teach her, and with hoyt gone it was bound to happen. hope they can fix things. the fang licking was hot yup. i too hope they follow the hadley and sophiann storyline, there its something there. im glad at least they showed that eric is still hurt about loosing godric. im kinda happy with the cliff hanger since i wont be as worried as last time lol
Do you think that maybe her blood is so powerful she is looking for a way to "control" a lot of the humans. Or possibly just entrap V buyers? Thoughts?
Eric said that Sophie-Anne was providing the blood, but that's not necessary her blood, it could be the ones of her guards... Anyway, I still wonder why she does that. The only logical explanation that I have, if that she wants to caugh the humans that sells blood in Bon Temps, like the provider of Lafayette.
It's true, it might not be her blood. But it could be. If not, I suppose it could be a bigger operation than just Bon Temps, like she's trying to track buyers everywhere.

I think Sophie-Anne/Hadley could be interesting, since in the books is was told more "after the fact".
