lol, and I thought I was late last week. This week I started a new job, so forgive me? At least I managed to get this up before the next episode aired. That's...something.
"Because the people that wear them are always going "AH GEEZ, WHY CAN'T I GET LAID?" I know when I laugh about a minute into the episode that it's going to be a great one! The professor thing would totally work on me. IRL I'd probably go for Ted.
Robin and Barney's WTF faces throughout the episode were highly amusing to me. Especially the second one! Lily and Marshall laughing like maniacs and Barney's unblinking expression!
ARM! And Robin's expression there never gets old. Looooove them.
And I don't know about the couples needing other couples thing applying to them. I always thought Barney & Robin would be like the anti-couple.I agree. The only reason I'm cool with it thus far is because this whole thing is new to them and I think it's important to note that they're putting too much emphasis on how they "should" be acting. It seems to be a staple in ever episode. From 'Definitions' and what to call themselves, 'Robin 101' with Barney trying to be the perfect boyfriend, and now them
( ... )
Yea, it definitely seems like finding out who you are/what you want seems to be a theme this season, even with Ted.
I think they are probably playing Barney/Robin that way, and I get that and it makes sense. But I guess I just wish we could see them have a bit more fun together, so we could really see why they make so much sense together to begin that. And we've seen it in bits and pieces, but a couple of episodes about it would still be nice. For example, I would have liked to see some of their summer for relationship.
I'm not sure if i liked this episode. Sure it had some really fun moments, but I'm not buying Barney and Robin moping over not being invited to coupley things. It's so not them. I loved all the Barney/Robin touching we got though.
Yea, there were some parts that were a little odd, but I guess we're not meant to take them too seriously. And then as a whole I think we're probably supposed to take it as them trying to find out what kind of "couple" they could be together, and not always being right about that.
I think the whole thing was mostly just a gag, but I think they just don't really know how to be in a relationship yet, and are still trying to figure out how it's going to work for them.
SEE, I DECIDED TO WATCH THIS EPISODE AGAIN THEN I DECIDED TO POP DOWN HERE TO SEE IF YOU'D SPAM. GOOD TIMING OR WHAT?
I think ever since episode 2 of this season they've been all caught up in what kind of couple they're supposed to be, and not really focusing just on what they are. We really haven't seen them just be awesome together at all. I can see why Barney's freaked out---- You don't want to lose yourself just because you're in a relationship and from what I gather, and reflecting on the episodes so far, he has been kind of losing himself. I mean, sweatpants and ice cream just because Marshall and Lily won't hang out with them? HILARIOUS AND ADORABLE but really, Barney Stinson would totally go out and find a new best friend-couple to hang out with.
Also, I miss Game Night---- why can't Barney/Robin and Marshall/Lily just hang out together naturally. Like Game Night, minus Ted! It's totally doable. Why is it necessary to put a label on it?
I guess they were trying to make a point with the label? Kind of like how when they fumble so hard to be something, they're going to run into mistakes.
