I WAS ALMOST CRYING WHEN CHARLIE WAS TELLING DES ABOUT LOVE.
I WAS LIKE "CHARLIEEEEE", you know like the little kid who's brother bit him.

and omg this episode just was wonderfully confusing. when des was talking to eloise i was like OMG SHE KNOWS! SHE KNOWSSSSS! THINGS ARE EVEN MORE ENTANGLED THAN I THOUGHT THEY WERE!

Eloise knows just like she knew back in s3 in the original timeline! It nuts!
I wonder if she remembers killing Daniel and that's why she's letting him do what he wants now.

I think Dan/Charlotte aren't necessarily an epic romance (though I'm a stan so they are to me, lol) but correct me if I'm wrong, I think they're really one of the only couples besides Desmond/Penny to get an actual declaration of love? So I think while it's questionable how Charlotte in return felt for him, as evidenced in Jughead with Dan deciding that Richard would definitely go for the explanation of ~ love and he said what he said because he meant it, Charlotte! that Dan's love is on the same scale of Charlie's and Desmond's, we just didn't really get to see what caused it

Well, Daniel did. I dunno, I do ship them but I think it's more because I love Daniel so much that I'd be on board with anything that makes him happy. I wish we had seen more from that storyline though, because they never really sold me on her have feelings for him in return. I mean, she liked him of course (how could she not?) but beyond that...idk.
And I never really got why he loved her either. He just kind of did.

It's not like Desmond/Penny who are clearly the most epic thing ever or even Charlie/Claire who were actually together for half of the first few seasons (or at least definitely together during all of s3).

I want someone to make a version of You All Everybody crossmixed with Chopin haha

This is true. I was reading an interview with Rebecca Mader from 2008 and she said the writer's strike impacted Charlotte so her backstory got pushed back a season, plus more expansion on Dan/Charlotte as a whole, so that kind of sucks. Mostly I just love them because of Daniel's face every time he's around her. Though I lol every time I think that Charlotte was originally going to be played by Kristen Bell, because she and Jeremy Davies would (probably) be so incredibly mismatched.

lol what, seriously? I honestly don't remember talk about Kristen Bell on Lost.
It might have worked though. It's not like Daniel/Charlotte isn't alreayd slightly mismatched to begin with. I think my issue with Charlotte is that she was too intense. We never saw much of this "other side" to her. I think I would have preferred Daniel with someone clever/adorable. idk.

I actually get the impression that when Daniel started remembering the island he remembered Charlie, and that's why he wanted Desmond to get him to the charity event. Like maybe Dan and Charlie conspired to start this whole recruiting mission of the former islanders. Or at the very least Dan is the brain behind the operation (like usual).

haha aw that would be beyond adorable if that were true. Someone should write that fic.

Although I'm not sure how they would be in contact since Charlie went right from the airport to jail. But I suppose it's possible that Dan saw Charlotte, started remembering things, went to his friend at Cal Tech, started to piece together even more, and then rememberd the one famous guy on the plane and came up with a way for them to meet.

Because sadly they never met on the island so Dan would have to remember Charlie just from the tv coverage of the crash.

I don't mean that they were in contact - I just mean that Dan remembered Charlie (they didn't know each other, but he knew Charlie cleared the signal in the Looking Glass, and probably conversed with people offscreen about him) and he purposely wanted Desmond to get him because he wanted them to start remembering each other. I think Driveshaft was way too random a choice to be anything otherwise.

Also, how geeky and awesome would it be if Faraday's physicist friend at Cal Tech is Sheldon Cooper? That's all I could think of when he said it.

lol I did think that Driveshaft was kind of random. I mean, they're a pretty terrible band. It's amusing that they're terrible, but I would think that if Daniel really wanted to play with some rock band he'd pick a better one since he obviously knows a lot about music. lol sorry Charlie.

It probably is just a coincidence though. But it would be amazing if it wasn't. Daniel really didn't seem to care at all that Desmond couldn't get Charlie to come. You'd think he'd be slightly put out if it was his idea in the first place.

HAHAHA a Daniel/Sheldon friendship would be amazing.
