Aww, so sweet about Oliver! I am so impressed that you handled a newborn mostly by yourself after surgery. That's no easy feat! You should be proud that you handled it so well.

The first couple of months were hard. Harder than I thought it would ever be. Oliver wasn't the easiest newborn. He hated sleeping on his back and would not sleep in his bassinett, He took a half hour to an hour to finish a bottle. He would cry while eating and he spit up a lot. The nights felt long and the days even longer. But once Oliver hit the four month mark, I sleep trained him and he's been sleeping through the night ever since :D
