Christmas '15 - recap

Christmas was great. I woke up Christmas morning to find that my boyfriend got me two presents on top of the pasta machine he bought for me earlier in the month. One is a Funko POP figurine of Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas (it's one of my favorite movies of all time), and the got me something amazing.

About a month ago, I had seen an ad ( Read more... )

That's so exciting that you got Molly! Molly was my favorite, and I got her for Christmas when I was a kiddo and I can't tell you how incredibly excited I was. I, too, would spend hours circling things I wanted from the American Girl catalogs and total them up and then cringe because it was so much money. I was so excited to get Molly that year. I played with her so much and would fix her hair up and have tea parties with the pretty porcelain dolls my grandma bought me. Good memories, heh.

Christmas was really warm here too. I spent most of the day at my parents' house, and they keep the thermostat low so I could wear my christmas sweater without being too hot, at least.

I was stupid to wear a sweater. I thought it wouldn't be so bad nut nope. Opening windows helped a lot but it felt weird since it wasn't my house.

American Girl dolls were a status symbol in the 90s and since I was a kid, I didn't know that. I thought they were cool looking and fun, but I understand why my parents never got me one. The accessories are expensive and most kids would want at least an outfit or two to go with the dolls.

That's awesome you got her. I would have tea parties with my friend and her doll Felicity, and then seethe with jealousy because she had one and I didn't, haha! And she would push the doll in a stroller than her parents kept from when she was a baby.

Yeah, he got me Nightshade Sally. I don't collect Funkos but I thought it was nice that he got it for me and I do like TNBC a lot. He gave me a beautiful TNBC wind up snowglobe that I loved, but one day it fell and broke and I cried a lot because it was an accident and I really enjoyed having it D:

Sounds like a great Christmas! So thoughtful of your boyfriend. Sounds like 2016 will be a good year to buy a car.

I hope so. I want to get the Chevy Spark. It's small, good on gas, and it's not too expensive.

My sister-in-law Val has a spark and she adores it.

Ahhhh, awesome! I think they're cute and they're small, but not too small like a Smart Car. Plus they get 41 miles to a gallon which is pretty decent.
