Very interesting answers. That lesson is to see - to really see - something as it is and without my thoughts and ideas interfering. I continued to be surprised, well into a project, by something I had never seen before. Fascinating. It's like the project has a life of its own, in some ways; all it needs is an eye willing to see, which I guess is one definition of an artist. So, if you will, the question was, “How can we work together better?” Over the last year, my view has shifted…the question as I see it is, “Why aren’t things worse?” I can only conclude that it’s due to “Grace” or, if you prefer, “Luck”. I guess we are lucky if the work we do to keep food on the table and a roof overhead doesn't bore us to tears or worse.
