Art Dump 5
More stuff! Geez, it's only been three day since I updated, am I actually being consistent? 'A'
Today's pictures were inspired by a scrapped piece by one of my favorite artists, Deji. This being the piece in question. Since I was trying to get out of my art block, I thought, 'why the hell not, I'll just do thick lines and simple base colors.' Aaaand here are the results.
This was my first try using Cale and Mayu. Admittedly proportions are off and I really need to draw more profiles, but I can console myself with the fact that it doesn't look too bad. The advantage of not going crazy with colorings is focusing on the lines and subjects you're drawing and even the simple coloring makes it look good.
Okay, this one I actually tried to get proportions right. And it turns out to be my favorite. (These are my twin OCs from left to right, Marta and Freida Feldlock.) I like drawing the clothes and hair, very fun. Although it makes me wonder what they're talking about in the pic with those expressions...
Freida: Did you see that guy over there? He was totally checking out your goods!
Marta: ... I think he was looking at you Freida. You're the one with the exposed chest...
Anyway.
As you can tell, I like drawing me and Selfy's characters too much. Way too damn much. But just finished this today and overall, it turned out well enough. I like the cat a lot.
