While I dig the closer to home being better than closer to work, I'd be remiss not to recommend the Palo Alto Medical Foundation, which has really excellent doctors, and is about 500 yards from your new job.

I know a good general doctor that my mom used to work for in Mountian View.
I think I have / could easialy get her number if you were interested, and she's a family friend of ours :)

So, PAMF is great, and they have a major office literally across the tracks from our work. Not so convenient if you stay home sick a lot though.
