Destitute and truly in love. Why do the two seem to go together so often? Is it because of the stupid decisions that we make when we're young? The same thing that causes me to make wreckless decisions about moving across the country (which I still do not regret) happens to cause me to fall in love so quickly and feverishly

Oh, we're not starving by any means. We get $278/mo worth of government cheese. That's a lot of cheddar. Or, if you know my tastes, havarti and smoked gouda. I'm more concerned about keeping my credit clean if something goes wrong and we have to stay with Lisa for a while. I NEED good renter's history, especially since I am so far from home. I also am thinking in terms of buying a home in the not entirely too distant future (seven or eight years) and I want my credit to look a hell of a lot better than it does right now

Hang in there, sweetheart. I'm worried about this guy's temper...please, please look out for yourself, and if he's ever so scary again you think he might hit you, I think you should think seriously about leaving him regardless of whether he actually does. That's a big, waving red flag right there.

We've talked it to death since then. As soon as I wrote the post, we had a talk. I was more concerned with me wanting to hit him, because when I yell, he yells. When I punch him playfully, he punches me playfully. It's all equal with us, and I wanted to haul off and knock him one, so I know I'd get it in return. I also wrote this post during my period, too. Everything is five times worse then.

Laurel...I know that you can do this. I mean it. And also, things are gonna be better when I get there. Then you'll have me, and Mikey. I know what you're going through, exactly. Things are so fucking rough in the beginning--I still have yet to find a place for myself (which is why I'm moving to Portland...)
Just hold out for a little while, at least until I get there.
