Horribly bored. Have you ever been too bored to do anything? I have no motivation to do anything but lay in bed and read. Even editing SR pictures is boring me, and it's SR.
So, for my own sanity, I did a survey.
1.What did you do in 2003 that you'd never done before?
Taught. Real kids that really learned.
Photography. I had taken pictures before, but until this past year, I didn't really take it seriously.
Streetteams. I'm now the co-leader/founder of two teams, one local, one national.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
If I did make resolutions last year, I don't remember them, so that would be a negative on keeping them. I change my mind too much to make resolutions.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Stephie. Definitely a shocker. And apparently Ms. Williams again.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, thankfully.
5. What countries did you visit?
HA! There is a slight possibility I will be going to Puerto Rico and/or Greece next summer, but this year I was confined to the 50 states.
6. What would you like to have in 2004 that you lacked in 2003?
Down time. I'd love to read a book or watch a movie without stressing out.
7. What date from 2003 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Several, my memory isn't that bad yet.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Having a picture I took appear on the front of a CD.
9. What was your biggest failure?
I have more failures than I care to express. I'm very hard on myself.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Well, I am known as Slips, what do you think? Luckily, bumps and bruises disappear in no time.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My car?
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Um. Sr. Marci for going out drinking with the seniors? (yes, a nun at a bar. We shall be doing it again next semester for anyone who wishes to join)
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
I kind of wish that Stephanie had gotten her life settled before she had a baby. Not that I'm condemning her for anything, I just wish she was happier.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Necessities (such as laundry, food, car insurance, school bills, etc). Ain't that boring.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
I was pretty happy about the CD cover. I was really excited when Aaron gave me Ruocco (the hamster, not the musician). I get excited about everything; about nachos from 7-11, concerts, roadtrips, pretty pictures, CDs, a good grade. Yeah, everything. I'll save you the mile long list.
16. What song will always remind you of 2003?
Hey Luv - The D&E
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Sadder, a little. I don't know if I want a real job and huge bills right now. Responsiblity sucks.
ii. thinner or fatter? Same. I haven't really gained or lost weight since high school.
iii. richer or poorer? Poorer. I have to seriously start saving for an apartment for when I get out of school.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Cuddling.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Stressing out.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I spent it in California with my mom, sister, brother-in-law, niece, nephew, and about 15 members of their family. Eh. It was ok. I like being home for Christmas.
21. Did you fall in love in 2003?
I remained in love. I fall all the time. No more falling please.
23. How many one-night stands?
None, he keeps coming back. He's persistant, what can I say? =O)
24. What was your favourite TV program?
I don't watch much TV, but when I do, I'm a WB junkie. With that in mind, I'd probably say Gilmore Girls.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
At times I hate a certain band member whose name starts with an A.
26. What was the best book you read?
I read all of the Harry Potter books finally, those were pretty cute. Classic story of good versus evil. The Canterbury Tales was fantabulous as well.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Um. Geez. The D&E? I don't like this question. My life is a constant state of musicial discovery. I'll be vague and say local music in general. It's opened up a whole new world to me.
28. What did you want and get?
MY CAMERA.
29. What did you want and not get?
Not much. I'm pretty spoiled. Of course, there are a few things, but I'd prefer not to state them at the moment.
30. What was your favourite film of this year?
Currently, I'm stuck on Pirates of the Carribean. I also love Chicago.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Awwh, you all are going to laugh at me. For my 21st birthday I worked during the day, then after work, went out to Leona's with Marie, Aaron, Jon, and Mel. I had a frozen lemonade drink and was giggly off of it for an hour. I then went back to my room and promptly fell asleep.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably satisfying?
Throwing responsibility out the window. Going to shows every night, road trips every weekend. Having ice cream for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Having an incredibly enjoyable job that paid me extremely well. Obviously, I would prefer not to live in reality.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2003?
I began to understand to true value of T-shirts and jeans until I was forced to dress professionally for school. For the next 6 months, I will be rediscovering the comfort of flip-flops. I do not care if there are 6 inches of snow on the ground.
34. What kept you sane?
Aaron mostly. The rest of the time, it was the combination of concerts and photography. Of course, I never claimed to be sane in the first place.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Haha. I'll have to go with the obvious one here. Mr. Mitchell Allan Scherr. Such a silly attraction, the man could be my father.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
God, I hate politics. Moving on.
37. Who did you miss?
I have to agree with Skylar. All my friends in high school. *sappy moment* I have never had friends like that since.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
Best is such a limiting term. I have not met any one person that is the "best". I have, however, met several wonderful people despite my anti-socialness.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2003:
When around kids, have lots of anti-bacterial lotion.
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
"I'm not perfect. I'm not normal.
I ain't better than, or anything
It takes time, it contains me
It only works against me
Take the time, time to this
Be yourself, its better."
--Saraphine (Perfect Day)
Yes, I realize I was incredibly vague on some of those questions. Perhaps I just prefer to be mysterious. Or maybe I didn't really have an answer. Or maybe both...
