"Eh...just plain coffee. None of the other interests me." She said with a shrug not that she had tried any of them.

"Works for me. I've never understood why people put all that extra crap in coffee. It's coffee. Don't mess with a good thing." That, and he's broke, and usually doesn't go into coffee shops that much.
He orders two plain coffees and winces as the computerized cash register blips in the middle of the transaction. "Keep the change," he mutters sheepishly, tossing a bill onto the counter, grabbing the coffees, and picking a corner table, far far away from the expensive equipment.
"So, Claire. Do you... do this sort of thing often?"

"Do what? Pick up older guys I don't know and have them take me out on a date? No I must say this is my first time." She said wondering if that's what he meant.
