The pronunciation of the word "via" is vee-uh, or possibly vai-uh, but NOT vee-eh. Is that what they're trying to say? I always thought it was VA, like VA hospital.

I'm fairly certain. Longwood doesn't have a veteran's hospital, so I don't know why they would call it "VA." I think they're trying to say "via," as in the train goes through Longwood Medical Area to get to Heath St.
