YAY I AM going to Nice sunday until wednesday and maybe a day of monaco in between! i am excited because the carnaval is like mardi gras in the states and i get to see the med. sea and be in the south part of france! i am soooo excited

About the classes, welcome to France! They did the same thing to me. If you know of someone who is non-American who was able to move up, play the "discrimination against an Amercian" card. I did that at the bank when it was taking them a month to process my info and open me an account. I politely asked (which was hard for me to do =P), "Why was it so easy for a British girl to open an account??" (they knew I was an American, so it was implied in my statement). The atmosphere changed SO drastically. Everyone got quiet and the ladies behind the desk froze and looked at me with this look I'm still trying to figure out. After what felt like an eternity, one of the chicks went back and brought out the manager and we sorted everything out.

Carnivale is the BEST! We had so much fun, and I was interviewed for French tv while wearing a skimpy belly dancer outfit. :) If you're going down to the Cote d'Azur, I recommend Antibes...it's between Cannes and Nice, and it's much less touristy and quite a bit cheaper. The beach is also a lot nicer than the one at Nice - sand, not rock, but I guess it's kind of cold for beach-going anyway. Have fun!

I adored Nice. And I enjoyed Monaco. I'm glad you are enjoying yourself. How much is a plane ticket? Maybe I'll fly Staci to you for a week. Hell, maybe both of us will come visit

It is pricey like 750 american dollars for round trip and she still needs to get a passport but that would be awesome. you are more than welcome to come visit me!!!! i want visitors and i want people to experience how much fun it is here!
