my heart/mind echo your heart/mind on this stuff... it keeps me awake when i'm s'posed to be sleeping and i want to believe and think that little choices we make and little awarenesses we have are part of the greater good, but then it feels like trying to put out a forest fire with a raindrop (or to be more american, maybe a disney dixie cup of water) and that constant evaporation is pretty exhausting... i still think we have to start little and build up, though... i just heard about thsi book by vandana shiva called 'manifesto on the future of food and seed' which i am hoping to get and read and maybe mail your way if i learn things we can be sad about together and be hopeful about together and make art about... anyway, steff, i'm grateful for your courage and (belatedly) for your company for brunch in october!
