I thought I'd try my hand at writing a Doctor Who fic, and this is what happened. It is unbeta'd. Be gentle, please.

*sniffles* Ouch. That needed saying. Because it makes what happened all the more painful - which the world needs to know. (IMNSHO)

It worked. Beautifully painful.

I recognized the pattern of families falling apart all around Donna, and then remembered that in the middle of the madcap Agatha Christie adventure, Donna essentially murdered someone's child and it all came together. Not a happy story. The last line socked me in the gut as I was writing it, too. I don't know why I'm such a downer right now. I will try to fix it when the Doctor checks on Donna in Part 2, though that may turn into an angsty mess as well. Only time will tell.

Enough of my rambling. Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment!!!! And sorry for giving you "all the feels."

Aw thank you! I'm working on the second part now. It should be posted by the end of this week if RL doesn't get in the way.

*blushes* Thanks! That is a huge a compliment coming from you! I love your work! I have to catch up on reading everyone else's D/D fic from the past, er, month or so. RL has not given me much time to vid or write.

(Side note: I have not forgotten about the "Llama Llama Duck" parody video. I was trying to render some clips for it last night before my computer decided rainbow wheels were pretty and overheating was a nifty thing to do to keep me warm in the winter. :-P)

Oh, you're welcome! I'm glad you decided to give writing fan fiction a shot. I love your vids, I can't do anything like that. I think Time Lord Doc would make any computer explode with its inanity, but that's why it's so much fun.

I've always suspected she kept that ring, the scene where he gave it to her was one of the sweetest things I've ever seen. He had such a look of adoration in his eyes.

[ As Donna clung to the ring like a lifeline, she silently vowed that she would never let anyone take that hope away from her.

Not anyone. Not ever.]

This makes what happened to Donna all the more tragic. *sobbing*

The rooftop scene in tRB was so fluffy and amazing. He gave her his jacket and then a ring and made those lovey dovey eyes at her, and standing on the roof was like a bride and groom standing on top of a wedding cake at the end and...gah! I'm in fangirl rambling mode!

I think she kept the ring. In fact, I like to think she had it in her pocket as a good luck charm when she was scouting out Adipose Industries.

Agreed with your comment on the ending. The Doctor gave Donna's life meaning and took it all away: the one person she trusted betrayed her wishes. Nope, I'm still not over it.

It was, he was such a gentleman... and she was eyeing him as well. The Empress of the Racnoss got that one right, "Such a sweet couple." Come to think of it, so did everyone! I think I saw the ring on her finger even at the end of the episode, when she was returning home. Funny how no one seemed to notice it at the reception... not even her intended groom.

Exactly, the one she never expected to betray her did, even if he thought it was best. He violated her explicit wishes and her mind... tragic, and I sure am not over it, not one bit. Donna deserved better, much better.

*runs to grab tissues* So much pain, and we can all sympathise with Donna's plight. This is so heartbreaking... *sniffs*

*Hands you more tissues* I'll take "heartbreaking" as a compliment. (Angsty muse, why do I let you out?)

Thanks for commenting. Hopefully the Doctor can lift Donna's spirits in Part 2...or at least give her a shoulder to cry on.
