I absolutely loved this! Do you have a Teaspoon account? If you do, I'd so love to add this to my recc list for Calufrax next month! After seeing the flashes of his future with Joan Redfern in TFOB, this totally makes sense that Donna might have a similar experience from a kiss. Head canon, this is in mine now. ;)

I'm so glad you liked this! I do not have a Teaspoon account yet. I don't even have a fanfiction.net account! This is only my second DW fic, but I might be inclined to post at Teaspoon. Is it a friendly environment over there? I like the camaraderie at the Doctor_Donna LJ comm, which is why I started lurking and then posting vids here. :-)

Whoa! That's a thought: being near death his mental shields would be lessened, and so a companion or anyone pyschic or telepathic might get glimpses of what he sees or senses. Genius!

And I hope you'll write a sequel in which they talk about her visions. (I vote for trying for the Time Tots vision. ;D)

Thank you so much! As you can tell from this and my previous story, I am fascinated by the Doctor's telepathic ability. Because he can see "all that is...all that was...all that could ever be" all the time, I wondered what he could see when he looked at Donna.

This was meant to be a one-shot, but the idea I had for a possible sequel is quite a tear-jerker and deals with the Doctor's head in Donna's during JE. I don't know if I'll end up writing it because I'd like to leave this a bit lighthearted. We'll see.

In the meantime, here's a picture of a deranged emu that had me laughing as I was writing Donna's inner monologue when she was trying to interpret the Doctor's flailing movements:

Well, I can't help but wonder how true that line is. Because there are things he definitely CAN'T see, and those influence or directly affect Time.

I do love Time Tots, but my muse has been in a dark mood lately, so I wanted to end this one on a happier note. Truth be told, I started to write another part to this (one that takes place after they agree to go "onwards") and continue with a hopeful tone, but it seems forced right now. I'll see if I can tinker with it and make it worthy of posting. No promises though. If you're inspired and would like to give it a shot, you're more than welcome!

That really was all BMG's fault, she kept saying she was struggling with that fic she was writing for me, and how annoyed she was about it, and I figured she needed some extra inspiration so off I went to create some. I'm just glad it came out so well :)

Thanks! I think emus are hilarious anyway, and it seemed to be a fitting description at the time.

'somewhere in between 'This is mental!' and 'I've had worse' What a great line! That's exactly what she would be thinking. But the possibilities, the diverse timelines, were an amazing collection. Any one of those could happen. I notice that the "mind-wipe" possibility wasn't among them. (I quite liked the one-hearted John possibility a lot, and, of course, the Time Tots!)

So, Ten is a degranged emu, and Eleven is an adolescent giraffe. I wonder if dreamerbee could do a collection of all the Doctors as animals from the Veldt!

Thank you for your lovely comments. I love that line too. I did include a timeline with Donna and Shaun, so that was my snippet of the mind-wipe timeline. I didn't want to go too dark with this one. Plus, I wasn't sure how to write Donna seeing a future in which she couldn't remember the past (her present). The Time Tot future is my personal favorite.

The deranged emu description had me laughing out loud when I first thought of it, having seen that photo of an alarmed emu before. The wide eyes and sticky-uppy hair helped me make the connection. I do wonder how others would describe Ten in that state.

I don't have a Tumblr account, but I've seen dreamerbee's artwork in my search for D/D fan creations. She is very talented!
