Lest we forget

I am confused as to why a lot of people on *hetalia seem to think that Remembrance Day/ Armistice Day is a Canadian affair.

Ummm...no. It's observed by the entire Commonwealth.

I find it kind of sad that people don't know that.

On that note: have a good 11/11/10.

I suppose it's because Hetalia fandom seems to associate it chiefly with In Flanders Fields, written by, well, a Canadian 8| idk...

It's something I've encountered in real life too, unfortunately. Some people just... don't know. It's odd.

It's celebrated in France as well... but I'm not going to ask the fandom to understand what it meant.

Have a nice day :)

... really? That's odd. :\ And yeah, a bit sad, considering its importance. ><

(Actually I think there are a few Commonwealth countries that don't observe it; but the majority do. On the other hand there are some non-Commonwealth countries that I'm sure do so.)
