I can get very obsessed about exercise (and about anything, for that matter), so I hear ya on trading tips.
I used to belong to a gym, but I just didn't go enough. I also get fairly red in the face when I exercise (fair complexion, and the lack of oxygen due to smoking probably hasn't helped), so I hate it when people look at me like, 'are you going to pass out?'
Now I exercise at home- I picked an apt on the bottom floor so I could jump around. I generally do Turbo Jam (have you heard of it? I love it) 'cause I used to do muay thai kickboxing, and it's kickboxing-based. I also have weights some yoga, and The Firm.
I'm not a runner- I have really flat feet and it hurts my ankles. Although I know if I did it more, I'd get more used to it. It's just too ungodly hot here most days, though.
And I hear ya on the getting rest thing- I plan on being almost-asleep by 10 pm every night if I'm going to do this early exercise thing.
Thanks for your reply- as you can see, I am already getting obsessed again! :)

Aww, you are one of my people - the Tomato Face People, that is. I too become quite red in the face. It's so irritating! Everyone always acts like you're going to have a heart attack!

I haven't heard of Turbo Jam. You used to do muay thai?! That f'ing intense, lady! I dabbled in kickboxing, but nothing too extreme.

I would imagine that running anywhere in Texas would NOT be on my top ten list. Ick. I'm really picky about what I'll do outside. Being born and raised in WA, there are only certain temperatures that my body will tolerate for exercise outdoors, anyway. There is nothing I dislike more than running around in hot, humid weather. No thanks!

Go for it in the morning...figure the eventual endophin rush that you get from exercising will get you through your workday a lot easier!

When I worked 7-3 I would go rollerblading as soon as I got home. I felt that I got the most push out of my workout after working a full day.

To make you really stick to a schedule, you should get a workout partner. When I taught, I would go over to another teacher's house after school every day. That was perfect because we were usually pissed by the end of the day and we exercised it off.

I don't do mornings, but if you are a morning person, and would stick to it, sounds like that might fit you better. Whatever you can be consistent doing--do it that way.

I actually get off work at 3:30 pm, but I could take a wee nap! And meeting someone for walking would make me wake up.
This week would be awesome to start 'cause the weather is really nice.
