hmm, sounds to me like you were hyperventilating...But hey, that's just my guess, smiles
hope you are okay though and yes I can imagine the scare you got from passing out in public! I would have freaked out as well if that ever happened to me.
A friend of mine has somewhat the same problem. She also passes out for no apparent reason, only more often than you do. But with her, it's stress related.
No, I wasn't hyperventilating, actually. Does your friend do anything about it? It's kind of dangerous to just pass out randomly (like, while driving).

Well as far as I know, she tries to keep a normal rhythm, like eating and sleeping on time and fortunately she does not have a driver's licence...but when she passes out, she doesn't feel it coming...it just happens
That's scary! My first guess would have been low blood pressure. (I used to have low blood pressure, and I had somewhat similar experiences to yours.) But, if your blood pressure was normal, I don't have any ideas. Anyway, I really hope that it's nothing serious. *crosses fingers*

All fainting is really caused by a sudden drop in blood pressure- all the blood rushes from your brain, you faint and usually wake up quickly because once you're down, the blood can come back to your brain. The only trick is why my blood pressure dropped so suddenly- and it's happened a few times over the past 10 years. And the doctor doesn't know, so I guess I'll just be hoping it doesn't happen again. Thanks for the concern though. :)
