Exactly. And it's a concept that I always, always have at the gates of the knowledge receptors in my brain. That quote is a nice allegorical summary of what my entire belief system is based upon.

I coined a word last year: entophysiom. It refers to all those things we guess are going on in our bodies (with particular emphasis on brain activity) but can't actually see. We can't actually see hormones and electrical impulses travel through a living brain... it's an entophysiom. I use the word a lot 'cause I talk about this stuff a lot :oP
