if i moved to LA, would i need a car?

could i get into the media biz out there?

even better, should i change it up and try to get into the massive entertainment biz?

something is calling me to drop all this bullshit here and become a professional extra.
or something new. just new.

and i would love the constant sunshine.

It depends where you live - it is definitely a car city but public transpo is better than here, and at least you won't freeze your ass off waiting.

yes. you would need a car. although there are pockets of public transport, you don't want to spend 2 hours going from one side of town to the other, and on the bus, you easily will.

as for the rest of the stuff, i have no idea.

yeah, i have heard. then i mentioned to someone about getting a scooter or something like that, but then they said there is no way to avoid the freeways....

i guess i would have to live near the job. hollywood/areas i visited nearby seemed like it was pretty happenin!

on a car: it depends upon where you live and what you want to do. i survived without one for two years. but if you want to do any media stuff that requires you to step foot out of the office, then you will need one for sure.

if you do come out here, just make sure you have a plan. out of work actors/dreamers are a dime a dozen here.

something tells me you're gonna start at the very bottom and be kissing a lot of ass if you get in to anything media related in la, no matter how good your resume. but...i'm sure it can be done, depending on who and where.

urb it up?

damn...that sucks.

i'm trying to think if i can think of anyone out there that i could connect you with, and i'm drawing a blank, except for one, but i don't think he really has much involvement with his old company anymore.

i'll do some asking and see what i can pull up for you though. there might be a couple hardcore labels i could hook you up with, via old contacts.

I'd move there based on the sunshine alone.
