“You’re shakin.” Starsky crouched down beside me so that our eyes were level, but I couldn’t face him. I looked down at the cold piece of metal dangling impotently in my fingers instead. I knew what I’d see if I looked at my partner. Concern consuming the deep blue pools of his eyes. Never concern about himself, always concern for me
