Story idea!
I recently had an idea for a story that's half sci-fi, half fantasy. It's also what you get when you start thinking about heros in terms of World of Warcraft The premise is that there's one world of people that's found out how to break through into other worlds in other universes. They start conquering some of these worlds, for riches and resources

It might get a bit meta, though...
And I'm also wondering how it'll look when the leading guy (or kind of...ambassador, except not that polite) walks up to the high priestess of the Night-Elf regions, announces "We are invading. You will submit, or be destroyed," and promptly gets annihilated by a magic weilder who is, after all, several thousand years old.
(Hmm...maybe I should think of ways to not directly use all the races, places, and important characters out of WoW...)
