BGs can indeed be pretty fun when done right. Doing it with guild can be pretty fun, especially when communicating through Ventrilo or something.
I don't PvP all that much, mainly because when it goes bad, it goes baaaad and sucks all the fun out of me for a good while. Meh. I prever PvE and raiding, where people actually know there are tactics to consider.
I know, right? I think it's probably the competitive element. There's got to be a reason why team-on-team sports are so common, after all. ;p
And bad PvP pretty much takes the cake, yeah. Honestly, it's amazing how much bile some people can cram into a few words on a computer screen when things go wrong. It's also counterproductive, given that a bit of encouragement and direction can swing a close match. But yeah, PvE is much less stressful, usually.
Well your first problem is that you went against the Horde. XD

I personally don't PvP, despite being in a PvP server. Namely because I can't stand the drama when it goes bad. Raids are a bit different as we're all actually working together and I usually only run with guild, so they end up being far more patient than Pugging.
Good job on your win though.
But another bit of awesome? Dragonwrath was completed last night as a server first (not me, of course), but Tarecgosa's avatar hovered over Org for a good 3 hours. It was huge. Quite a fun show.

I think people who know each other are more inclined to work together and follow plans than people working with faceless strangers.
Wow, that must've been quite a sight!
