Twilight of Equality by Lisa Duggan is a must-read on neoliberalism.
I recently bought Queer Race: Cultural Interventions in the Racial Politics of Queer Theory by Ian Barnard but haven't read it yet so don't know if I can recommend it per se yet.
I saw this on FB it tried to think of something I'd read recently that fit into any of those and could not think of a single one. Which is kind of sad since I have been reading a metric ton lately. I have China Mountain Zhang in my list to read. I also have the Hunger Games waiting to be read, which came super highly recommended from another queer feminist SF geek, though I don't know yet whether or not it has any queer characters. The Left Hand of Darkness is maybe kind of queer, but in a different way. I can't really speak to the other stuff. I tend to like fiction that is more serious, but not usually non-fiction.
